A New Type of Blog
I have decided to start a new type of blog for Drew and me. I spend nearly 10 hours a day alone. And In order to keep my sanity I have decided to start a daily Blog. A Blog about what you ask, well about my day, my thoughts, events, or just plain insane thoughts I have had during the day. I’m sure someone out there will enjoy my insanity. I will even voluntarily take topic ideas. I know at some point I will run out of ideas or rants. This is not for people to judge or make fun; this is for family and friends to stay in touch. I will take photos for some blogs, some I will just go on and on about who knows what.
For starters, I thought I would kindly explain how I got where I am today as entertainment.
First off, this whole thing started I would say a little over 4 years ago when I met Drew. In a nut shell, I really don’t want to go into grave detail about 4 years, really no one wants to know about all that. So anyway, being married started Last June. Drew decided that college was not working out for him so he looked into options. The best option he decided was leaving for the Air Force. It is a job, a great job, a job with benefits, living expenses and even groceries. But the problem would be I would be left behind. So on to our yearly vacation. We went to Tennessee and he proposed. We came home and the crazy wedding stuff began.
In a nutshell when we were originally planning our wedding we were getting married June 26, we had almost a year to plan the wedding. We picked our hall, our florist, and had a general idea of what we wanted. Drew left in October and would not return until December. I had school was occupied and had plenty of stuff to do. Since I knew he would be home in December I really had not planned a lot because he would be home to help.
December came slowly, very, very slowly. It was like it could not come fast enough. Of course through all of the time of him being gone I was lucky to have great friends and my very supportive family and of course his wonderful supportive family.
When Drew came home of course he had to check in with his recruiter. We sat down and talked to them and were getting the paperwork for them to make sure he could come home in June, and they said no. Now, why could they not have told us that in September we don’t know. So we quickly made calls and had to change our wedding to the weekend he would be come for in March before he moved to his permanent duty station. The real pain in the ass was my bridesmaids dresses for those who care, if you eve change your wedding and ask the company if they can order them faster, DON’T. The company told me IF I had my last 3 girls come in that night, which they closed in like 3 hours, they could have them in. If not they wanted to charge me $80 more a dress. WHAT? Yeah really, they did tell me that. So me in a panic hassle my girls to go in and get sized. Afterwards the lady calls and says “I placed the order and they will be in the Saturday before the wedding.” Are you crazy? I’m thinking this is all going to go wrong. Needless to say they did come the Saturday before the wedding. It made me crazy.
Anyway, the wedding came and went, it was beautiful. If you want to see pictures they are on facebook. Just ask and I will get them to you.
So, after the wedding, we packed up our Budget Truck, loaded up the car and drove. Yea Drove see....
I took my plant too. I won it at my cousins baby-shower. It is so cute. I took care of it the entire 24 hour drive. We took it in the hotels too. Drew was like "really? You have to take it inside. You have been carrying that damn thing around for days, you better not kill it." Ok maybe he didn't really say all that but he was thinking it for sure. My plant is called a HOYA! and for the record I will make a post about it when it gets bigger.
Of course out of all the warm wonderful places in the world we get sent to South Dakota (it is not all bad you will learn through my blogging over the next few weeks). We move out to South Dakota and begin this little adventure. Our apartment has a great view though I will say it is the one thing I do love about it here. It is beautiful.
Being married and moving within a week is not easy. This life is different, you move with no family, no friends, and you really have no clue of where you are. When I drive I’m like ok where will I end up this time. Haha. Truly though it’s not very funny, ok maybe it is because there is only 1 town and it is 20 miles north there is only 2 ways to get there, you turn left out of the parking lot or you turn right! Wow that is hard, I know right?
And this is where my Blog begins. You will get a whole new perspective of life when you read what I have to say. I think for the most part that I’m hilarious. If you don’t think so keep it to yourself, I’m doing the best I can.
So anyway, I have many ideas for topics like my psycho cleaning, the annoying trips to the grocery store which you WILL find hilarious. I hope everyone enjoyed my rant. I will return tomorrow with some adventurous tales to share.
